Basically, Touchstone boats are powered by outboard motors.
The outboard motor consists of a self-contained unit which includes engine, gearbox and propeller and is fitted to the outside of the boat transom.
Outboard motor specifications are contained in the technical specifications of individual boat models.
Sterndrives may be installed on custom-built boats on customer's request.
A sterndrive or inboard/outboard drive (I/O) is a form of marine propulsion which combines inboard engine power with outboard drive. The engine sits just forward of the boat transom while the drive unit lies outside the hull.
Please, contact us for sterndrive specifications for your chosen boat model.
Also, water jet drives may be installed on custom-built boats on customer's request.
Jet drives use an engine (more often, inboards) to power a strong water pump, which sucks up water and then forces the water out the back to thrust the boat forward. Jet drives are preferable on boats designed for shallow water conditions.
Please, contact us for jet drive specifications for your chosen boat model.
